Customer journey

Remind your visitors prior to their visit 
Your visitors can be emailed one or more reminders ahead of their visit. Every reminder can have a unique text. Coming soon: reminders per whatsapp.
Follow-up with your customers 
Your visitors can also receive follow-ups after their visit. For instance, to ask them how they enjoyed the museum.
Cross- and up-selling 
With cross- and up-selling you can entice your visitors to purchase other product — a catalogue, audio-tour or point their attention to upcoming events.
Allow your visitors to make a donation 
Most ticketing tools let visitors make a donation during the purchase process. So does Tixmeister. But Tixmeister also has a unique one-click feature to ask for donations after the purchase has been completed. Some museums increase donations by 100% with this feature.
Link your visitors with MailChimp 
When visitors click the appropriate checkbox, the email address and other personal info provided is sent to MailChimp (contact us if you use a different CRM tool). You can also set individual tags for every product or tickettype that get transfered to MailChimp.
Follow your customers with UTM-codes 
Google is ending the use of cookies in 2024 so you‘ll need to find another way to follow your online visitor through the customer journey. Tixmeister has implemented UTM-codes early which allows you to fully track the success of your online and social media campaigns.

Online ticketing

Your ticketsite, your design 
Your website looks fantastic and Tixmeister will let your ticketsite look just as brilliant. This goes beyond colors and logos: you will also get the same menus, links and footer. Your ticketsite can run as a subdomain of your own site (tickets.yoursite.com) and if the ticketsite is visited from your main site, your visitor won‘t be bugged with yet another cookie-banner.

Changing and cancelling 
Your visitors can change or cancel tickets online through a link in the confirmation email. There is no need for your customers to call or send emails if plans change.

Point-of-Sale register

Under the hood, it‘s the same software as online ticketing 
The POS register is not a bolt-on but indeed fully integrated with online ticket sales. There is no need to sync anything because it is one and the same program — even if it looks a little different.
Designed to work on- and offline 
The register is a so-called progressive web app and continues to work even when the internet is down.

The register comes with basic inventory management. Best practice is to handle inventory management in your accounting system. Tixmeister‘s POS offers a bi-directional interface with modern accounting systems.
Accept rebate codes
Runs on mostly all POS-hardware 
The register doesn‘t needs much more than a regular windows PC with a browser and touchscreen. Tixmeister may not yet support your existing PIN terminal and, depending on the payment service, it is sometimes more efficient to switch to a new one rather than getting it to work.
Customizable purchase receipts
Scan and print barcode labels 
The register can scan any barcode that is linked to a product. For products without pre-printed barcodes, you can generate and print your own labels and stick them on a product.

Many museums work with SmartEventManager because it is a pretty good system. Tixmeister integrates bookings from SEM in the POS register. So when a group shows up in your museum, staff at the front desk can handle it with ease.

Tixmeister is software-as-a-service so there is no need for you to maintain servers on site. Your savings in hardware, support and licenses can be substantial… and that‘s not counting your time.
Separate system for testing 
You can have a separate copy of your setup for testing under yourmuseum.test-tixmeister.com. So if you want to try things out, you can play around in the testing sandbox without risking errors on your main ticketing site.
Daily data backups
Dedicated database with full access 
If you are concerned that your data may get mixed up with data from other museums, you can have a fully separate database with full read access. For better performance, we recommend that we host your data but your dedicated database may even be stored on your own server.

Support of the full WooCommerce API 
The WooCommerce API for managing a webshop and purchasing products has been around for a long time. It is proven technology. Tixmeister supports the WC API so that external developers will find it easy to interface with Tixmeister.
Coming soon: GlobalTicket reseller API 
Many resellers work with GlobalTicket, which has a simple API. Tixmeister is implementing the GT API so that resellers can interface with Tixmeister without much development work.
